Everything people usually ask before their first appointment. Anything else, just ask when you visit.
Does it hurt?
No. The weld happens on a small jump ring held away from your skin, and it's over in a fraction of a second. Most people feel nothing at all.
What if I need to take it off?
Snip it at the jump ring with ordinary scissors. Bring the chain back and we'll re-weld it.
Can I wear it through airport security, an MRI, or surgery?
Airport security is not a problem. For an MRI or surgery, your provider may ask you to remove it. Snip it and we will reattach it after.
How long does an appointment take?
Plan on 20 to 30 minutes for one piece, longer for a stack. We never rush the choosing.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course. For three or more people having pieces made, book a group appointment so we can reserve the studio for you.
Do you take walk-ins?
No. The studio is by appointment only, so every visit is private and unhurried.
Aftercare
Wear it. Live in it.
- Shower, swim, and sleep in it. Gold-filled and solid gold are made for everyday wear.
- Rinse after chlorine or saltwater and pat dry.
- Polish with a soft cloth to bring back the shine. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- If it catches on something, it is designed to break at the jump ring before it hurts you. Keep the chain and we'll re-weld it.
